Background

He was born Sep 17, 1919 in Liverpool, and was raised on the farm of his parents, Fred and Minnie Paneitz Lepinske, on what is now Grange Rd, in Clay, NY.  He was named for his grandfathers, Charles Lepinske and Ferdinand Paneitz. Raised by stern parents back in the time of the adage “Children should be seen and not heard”, he was a smart aleck from the beginning, a brazen boy with a rebellious demeanor that he never outgrew.
