Chestnut Trees
Dad recalls knocking down chestnuts with Caroline at the time that chestnut trees became extinct. 1) Bud and Dorothy, wedding day, Aug 5, 1943. 2) Dad fishing with Gene on his lap, July 1950. 3) Dad on his birthday, with Sue, 2004. 4) On the Farmall, July 2005. At the age of 85, this was one of the last times that he was able to use the tractor. |
